Hands-on training is fundamental to the execution of a security officer’s post responsibilities. All courses are taught to State of Tennessee standards.
Unarmed Security Guard
A foundation for the unarmed security officer to handle any situation. The training covers planning, mental preparedness and general alertness, and focuses on state laws and regulations.
- The basic knowledge needed to be an unarmed security officer
- An understanding of your rights, responsibilities and liabilities
- How to recognize threats with the use of force
CPR / First Aid / AED
Trains the skills necessary to recognize and respond appropriately to a variety of cardiac, breathing and first aid emergencies.
- Recognize dangerous situations so you can take immediate action
- Respond quickly with CPR and other life saving techniques
- Give immediate care until advanced medical personnel arrive
Armed Security Officer
Meet the requirements of the State of Tennessee to obtain and maintain an Armed Security Guard/Officer License.
- Legal authority and de-escalation
- Use of force
- Firearms safety and marksmanship
Active Shooter Response
Learn how to respond to an active shooter threat in a business or school environment, including ways to safely escape, barricade, or resist the attack without the use of firearms.
- Civilian Active Shooter Response is open to ALL
- Security Officer course requires a current State of Tennessee Armed Guard/Officer License

Whether you are applying for a professional license, starting a new job, renewing credentials, or completing state or federal requirements, we are here to help make the process simple.
Appointments are scheduled through IdentoGO, and applicants should bring the required identification and any instructions or service codes provided by the requesting agency or employer.
